Education and outreach are at the heart of the Climate Reality Project. Our members come from all generations and walks of life, and have experience speaking about the climate crisis with neighbors, community groups, businesses, congregants, elected officials, students, activists, educators and other gatherings.
In addition, we organize our members around civic actions to address climate change mitigation and adaption, working with other organizations. Our current priorities include:
Starting the climate conversation
Climate change is affecting every ecosystem and community. But it’s not too late to take action – and we can show you how. Our presenters trained as Climate Reality leaders by Al Gore. We come from a variety of backgrounds and customize our presentations for your audience.
Least Developed Countries Fund
Helping the poorest respond to climate change
We're working with Oxfam America and others to pass state legislation that would allow taxpayers to voluntarily contribute to a United Nations fund that helps the poorest and most vulnerable countries in the world adapt to a changing climate.
Teaching climate change in elementary and high schools
Did you know Italy will now require public schools to teach climate change and sustainability? Our group of educators is working to help K-12 teachers in Massachusetts develop their own climate-aware curricula and lesson plans.
